You Have the Power is proud to announce a revised and expanded edition of our resource guide on sex trafficking.
The updated guide discusses the prevalence of sex trafficking–selling another person for sex–and how it poses a problem statewide, in both big cities and rural communities. It explains how to spot victims and how to help them.
Additionally, our resource guide explains how people can avoid becoming victims themselves. Finally, it also explores the problem on the societal level, explaining how people can stop sex trafficking nationally and locally.
The new edition includes common terms used by traffickers and their victims. It also uses gender-inclusive language, acknowledging that not all victims are female and not all traffickers are male.
Sex Trafficking is available free of charge to the public. YHTP frequently provides copies to college campuses, high schools, and community advocates across Tennessee.
Additionally, we offer copies to all participants in the sex trafficking presentations we stage for area colleges, churches, and civic groups–available at no charge thanks to underwriting by our community supporters.
Visit our resource guide library at http://www.yhtp.org/education/dvds-and-books/ to download the new edition. To order hard copies or find out more about our presentations, e-mail us at info@yhtp.org or call (615) 292-7027.
Our thanks to the generous support of the Junior League of Nashville for supporting the revised edition.
