We sincerely thank all who supported You Have the Power’s Powered by Community, Empowered by You breakfast program. We came together as a community for a morning of reflection and support for You Have the Power’s work and those we serve.
This year’s event marked a significant milestone: You Have the Power’s 30-year dedication to empowering crime victims through information, advocacy, and understanding. We sincerely thank the attendees, donors, partners, and community members who made this occasion meaningful and memorable.
The program featured powerful remarks from guest speakers, Mayor Freddie O’Connell on building a safer Nashville, reflections from Khalil Ekulona on the power of communities, and moving words from Terry Dickson, great-grandfather of two children honored in Voices from the Garden. Their stories brought our mission to life and reminded us of the importance of remembrance, resilience, and community.
Your generosity ensures the continued impact of our programs, from multilingual resource guides and youth impact curricula to our work with the Children’s Memory Garden.
Thank you for standing with us and helping us move our work forward into the next 30 years. Your support is invaluable, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you. Together, we are creating safer, more informed communities, powered by the community and empowered by you.
