Come join us for Powerfully Thankful, an evening of performances by top local songwriters. It includes an online auction featuring items big and small that show off the great things and unique experiences our community has to offer.
Proceeds make our programming accessible to colleges, older adults, caregivers, and the broader community.
This Year’s Headliner
Emmy-award winning singer-songwriter
Victoria Shaw
No matter your taste in music, you’ve heard something Victoria has written over the last 25 years. Her #1 hits include Garth Brooks’s “The River” and “She’s Every Woman”, Doug Stone’s “Too Busy Being in Love”, John Michael Montgomery’s “I Love the Way You Love Me”. Outside of the country genre, she penned #1 hits for Ricky Martin (“Sólo Quiero Amarte”) and Jim Brickman (“Sending You a Little Christmas”). Additionally, Victoria co-produced Lady Antebellum’s self-titled debut album.
This fall Victoria began hosting “Songwriters Under the Covers with Victoria Shaw” on PBS, where America’s favorite songwriters mix live acoustic performances with the stories behind their hit songs.
Come hear Victoria’s songs and stories at this year’s “Powerfully Thankful” while bidding on the hot-ticket offerings within our online auction!
You can register for the online auction at events.handbid.com.
The online auction starts on Friday, November 1 and runs through the event itself, with last bids taken at 7:45 PM Central on Thursday, November 21.
