Sex Trafficking Resource Guide Available in Mandarin

January 16, 2020

You Have the Power is proud to offer a Mandarin Chinese translation of our sex trafficking resource guide. It’s part of our commitment to making crime prevention resources available to non-English speakers in Tennessee. It’s also part of our observance of Human Trafficking Awareness Month.

This translation comes following consultation with partner agencies, most notably End Slavery Tennessee, about populations needing resources on this issue. It also comes in the wake of the Orchids of Asia case in Florida, which raised nationwide awareness of the problem of sex trafficking among Chinese nationals.

The guide explains how sex trafficking–selling another person for sex–is a problem in both big cities and small towns. It explains how to spot victims and how to help them, and how people can avoid becoming victims themselves. Finally, it also explores the problem on the societal level, explaining how people can stop sex trafficking nationally and locally.

The English and Spanish versions of the guide, along with our other publications, are available in our online library. To order hard copies, e-mail us at info@yhtp.org or call us at 615-292-7027.

We’re proud to introduce this new resource that can protect and educate even more people in Tennessee.

You Have the Power thanks the Junior League of Nashville for their support of this translation and our ongoing sex trafficking education efforts.
