Clemency for Cyntoia Brown has been a longtime goal of You Have the Power. We want to thank Governor Haslam for granting clemency to Cyntoia and the small army of people (including members of YHTP’s Board of Directors) who advocated and worked for this moment.
Cyntoia’s pending release is symbolic of the new attitude towards juvenile offenders and increased understanding of the plight of trafficking victims.
